Campbell Condos

Campbell was incorporated in 1952, but has a much longer history. Actually founded by Benjamin Campbell in 1851, almost a century before incorporation, Campbell was known for both it's orchards and its canneries. The canned mixture known as the fruit cocktail was invented in Campbell and the world's largest fruit drying grounds were once located there.

Campbell is a quiet residential area, the southern part of the city consists mostly of single family homes while apartments and condominiums dominate in the northern part of town. The downtown area is a quaint shopping district and Campbell is home to the Pruneyard Shopping Center, a sprawling, innovative open-air retail complex. The Pruneyard Towers, which was finished  in 1970, was until recently the tallest building between San Francisco and Los Angeles. A more relaxed area than it's high tech neighbors, Campbell is nonetheless the original home of eBay.  

Condominium living in Campbell is more relaxed and laid back than many of it's go-go high tech neighbors. There are several parks along with hiking and jogging paths along Los Gatos Creek, known locally as the "Par Course."

Campbell is located north of the 85 freeway, it is bordered by Highway 17, and bisected by the San Tomas Expressway. Campbell is convenient to the Valley's light rail system, having three stations in town.
